Description of EN9 alloy:
EN9 carbon steel as medium carbon steel is generally provided in the rolled state. It can be flame or induction hardened to produce high surface hardness with excellent wear resistance for carbon steel grade. The EN9 bar is available in full length or can be cut to suit your needs. Flame-cut steel plates with EN9 carbon steel round bar can be delivered cut to required and standardized dimensions.
EN-9 Round Bar and Rod:
EN-9 Rod is supplied in an as rolled condition. These round bars are hardened by the induction process. This round bar is immune to corrosion and has higher tensile strength.
In comparison to some stainless steel grades, the EN-9 material rate is lower due to the low alloying cost.
