Why 16MnCr5?
16MnCr5 is alloyed case steel which is highly utilized for mechanical engineering components. It is highly required for parts that need core tensile strength and good wearing resistance.

This structural steel consists of carbon – (0.140.19%), Silicon (less than 0.40), chromium (0.80-1.10%), manganese (1.00-1.30%), Phosphorus (less than 0.025), Sulfur (less than 0.035). It is highly used for parts that are surface hardened.
This grade is low alloy chromium, manganese case hardening steel. It gives a hard case with a strong core while retaining a degree of toughness.
Characteristics of the 16MnCr5 rod:
This 16MnCr5 round rod is suitable for applications that require a combination of toughness and wear resistance. It is commonly supplied in the form of a rod.
