What is 17CrNiMo6?
17CrNiMo6 is a steel alloy, and this alloy is heat treatable. 17CrNiMo6 contains nickel, chromium, and molybdenum. This alloy is known for its toughness, and this alloy is able to develop high strength in heat treated conditions while retaining good fatigue strength. This alloy is used for manufacture heavy gear parts and heavy-duty arbours. There is a high Chromium content of 1.5-1.8 %, which adds additional yield and tensile on heat treatment.
