Grade Introduction of the EN-41 B Round Rod:
En41B Alloy steel is a 1.5% Chromium, Aluminum, Molybdenum and Nitriding Steel. En41B is an exceptionally well known grade of low carbon, which is generally appropriate for the production of redundancy turned parts, for example, nuts, fasteners, pressure driven fittings, and studs, especially where mind boggling penetrating and machining tasks are involved. The round bars and rods manufactured from EN-41 B can be case-hardened, producing components with enhanced wear resistance.

EN41B is a chromium aluminium molybdenum steel specification usually supplied in the hardened and tempered applications. En41B is a molybdenum nitriding steel traditionally provided in hardened and tempered conditions. It is also called nitrating steel. In nitrating treatment, it is hardened to a certain depth according to the application to improve the wear resistance and the impact load on the material. Its suitability defines it for nitriding from which EN41B round bars can give a hard wear-resistant case up to 68HRc.
Properties:
Properties of the EN-41 B Round Bars combine high wear resistance with toughness and ductility. This steel is light in weight and damage resistant. Its suitability presents it for nitriding, from which EN41B Rod can present a hard wear-resistant case up to 68HRc, better than get with the similar nitriding grade EN40B.
Forging Properties:
850 – 1200°C, cooling as slowly as possible in the sand after forged.
Merits of using EN-41 B: EN-41B round bars are the best option if used in those applications where abrasion and wear resistance are required. It is a hard-wearing material which is also an advantage of high-ductility and toughness.
