General description of Brass IS 319 Grade 2
IS 319 Grade 2 is generally recognized as UNS C36000 or CDA360. This alloy especially stands out as a perfect choice when machinability is the prime consideration. Primarily due to the presence of 3% Lead in the material, this material tends to be the most economical material for tapping, threading, and milling or turning. It exhibits long tool life and an excellent surface finish. These bars are vastly used for making Components, Shafts, Tools, Machines and other high precision products in the Industrial Sectors.
Chemical Compositions Brass IS 319 Grade 2 Rods:-
The composition of Brass IS 319 Grade 2 Rods are mainly consisting of components like Copper in 60 to 63 %, Lead in 2.5 to 3.70 %, Iron in 0.35% Max. This alloy also contains Zinc in Balance, and Other Impurities excel Fe. In 0.5% Max amount.
