Introduction Of Forged Rod UNS S31254:
The bar has a highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel grade. The stainless steel grade has been developed for use in the seawater and further aggressive chloride-containing media. Also, it has a high resistance to stress-related corrosion cracking. Some characteristics of the alloy include its excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
The UNS S31254 is also known for 6 Mo. It has a super austenitic stainless steel with the high level of molybdenum and nitrogen element. These alloys provide high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Also, it offers high strength compared with the other conventional austenitic stainless steel like 316L.
Components Of These Alloy
These alloys have mainly comprised of chromium, nickel, molybdenum element like standard austenitic stainless steel grades. The, unlike convention austenitic stainless steel grades, contains about nitrogen. The levels of the component like chromium, nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen have its super austenitic bar, which are combined by its impact toughness resistance to corrosion cracking with the pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. The Round Bar has a chemical mixture of an element such as manganese, sulfur, copper, silicon, nickel, molybdenum, phosphorous, chromium element.
Properties Of Forged Rod Alloy 254 Rod:
Alloy 254 is a Chromium-Nickel alloy that possesses excellent corrosion-resistant to chemical attacks and reducing agents. Also, these alloy has high-temperature strength that can be applied in high-temperature applications. These alloy brings out numerous good features. These features are durable, accurate dimension, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance. It can resist high temperatures, although maintaining its high strength under volatile conditions.
Application Of Forged Bar UNS S31254:
This Alloy is used in applications like flue gas desulfurization and the chemical environments. Also, it is used in desalination equipment, seawater handling equipment, food processing equipment, heat exchangers, hydrometallurgy, pulp mill bleach systems, oil and gas production equipment.
