About Brass CuZn37 Rod :
CuZn37 is a copper-zinc alloy that can be hot or cold worked. The rods are straight bars that are available in various finishings as per the requirements. The ductility property of this alloy permits severe deformation, including the cold heading of the rod, and is mainly used for simple cold presswork. These rods are also known as Reverting Quality Brass Rod and are extensively appreciated in riveting, blanking, bending, hot forging, watch case and belts, etc.
What is the composition of Brass CuZn37 Forged Bar?
This well-known alloy CuZn37 is a solid solution strengthened copper alloy (brass) composed of 37% zinc element. This alloy of rods has good cold-forming properties and is economically attractive because of the high zinc content in its composition. Brass CuZn37 Rods can be brazed and soldered, and their welding processes need to be carefully executed due to the high Zinc content. As the Zinc content increases in this alloy, it possesses improved strength, yet its conductivity and flexibility are reduced.
