Nickel Aluminium Bronze Rod: Nickel Aluminium Bronze Rod presents a good combination of corrosion resistance and strength. This Rod is still prone to various forms of corrosion, such as stagnant seawater corrosion, selective phase corrosion, and cavitation erosion. The nickel aluminium bronze rod contains 6-13% aluminium and up to 7% iron, and 7% nickel. The other common alloys typically have 3-6% of each of these two elements. In addition, manganese up to approximately 1.5% is also added, both as an oxidant and a powerful feature.
UNS 95520 Rods :UNS 95520 Rod is a bronze formulated for casting. Cited features are appropriate for the heat-treated (HT) condition of UNS 95520 Rods. It has a very high heat capacity among the other cast bronzes. In addition to it, it has an excellent tensile force and deficient elasticity.
UNS 95520 is one of the most recognized landing gear bushing materials specified today, along with bronze material. This permanent/centrifugal cast alloy is heat-treated and exhibits high mechanical strength, which meets the properties of other recognized alloys. In many cases, UNS 95520 can be substituted for C63000 with the advantage of this material being available in a hollow bar, which provides economic cost savings for the customer.
