These are elements which are consisted of the composition of A286 round bars. A-286 is an iron and nickel-based chrome austenitic stainless alloy that maintains usefulness over a wide range of temperatures.
Properties:
Aerospace alloy A286 is one of the most demanding high-temperature alloys. This is one of the austenitic alloys that maintain good strength and oxidation resistance at a temperature range of up to 1300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Because of aerospace A286 material’s high strength and superior fabrication characteristics are utilized in different components of aircraft and industrial gas turbines.
This alloy can be age hardened to a higher strength level; thus, it is also used for low-temperature region applications. A malleable, non-magnetic, high-strength material at various ranges of temperatures is required.
Alloy A286 bar can be solution treated at varying temperatures ranges and rapidly cooled. Then age hardened at 1325 degrees F for 16 hours. The 1800-degree F solution treatment produces the maximum creep-rupture strength in age-hardened material, whereas the 1650-degree F treatment results in enhanced ductility and room temperature strength.
Application:
Aerospace alloy A286 round bar is best suitable for those applications that require high strength and corrosion resistance up to 1300 degrees F (704 degrees Celsius).
This A286 alloy material is also widely used in the aerospace industry, offshore oil, and gas industry, where the components are subject to high levels of heat as well as a higher level of stress.
