CZ115 grade flat bars have high tensile brass with restricted aluminium content, enabling them to be soldered or brazed according to industry requirements. This CZ115 grade was developed to allow high strength brass flat bars to be joined.

CZ115 grade high tensile brass is sometimes also referred to as manganese bronze as this material has the additions of iron, tin and manganese. Due to the addition of these materials in the overall composition of the H. T. brass flat bars can withstand high strength components. It benefits the physical as well as mechanical attributes of this CZ115 alloy.

The tin and iron element % additions impart properties like higher strength levels, while the element tin also improves the corrosion resistance quality of the high tensile brass flat bars. The CW115 also provides good fabrication properties with a very good machinability rating, the ability to lend itself to finish plating and, ease of hot forging.

The corrosion resistance feature enables the brass material to be used in seawater and other moderately aggressive media. It also delivers better strength levels than many of the basic grade brasses combined with excellent hot formability.
