What is ST-52?
ST-52 is carbon steel, and as per carbon content, this steel is divided into three categories such as low carbon, medium carbon and high carbon. ST-52 is low carbon steel, and it also contains manganese. This alloy is easily weldable with good impact resistance even at sub-zero temperatures. ST-52 material is generally supplied under untreated or standardized conditions. In these carbon steel alloy trace amount of nickel, copper, chromium, silicon, magnesium, molybdenum, and aluminium is also present. This grade is used to produce high tensile strength.
