Properties of the Monel K500 rods:
Fabricated finished Monel K500 alloy rod can have a wide range of enhanced mechanical properties and features when there is a correct amount of control on cold and hot working and the proper thermal treatments selection is done.
Like other alloys, Monel K500 also has similar characteristics, but it is tough to machine and tends to work hard when considering its toughness. Although, this alloy can yield better results if proper procedures are used for production and machining.
Monel K500 forged bars can easily be welded by using techniques such as gas-tungsten arc, gas metal arc, or shielded metal arc. In addition to that, the alloy K500 must be processed by using filler metals likewise. Even there is no requirement for post-weld heat treatment. This alloy K500 must be cleaned systematically after the welding process.
These alloy rods are considered cost-efficient because of their superior ability to yield better results after being machined.

Typical applications of the Monel K500 forged bars and rods consisted of Industrial heat exchangers, Marine engineering equipment, oiler feedwater heaters, and other heat exchangers, Crude petroleum stills, De-aerating heaters, Chlorinated solvents, Crude oil distillation towers, Gasoline tanks, Chemical and hydrocarbon processing equipment, and freshwater tanks.
